Up to about one third of children whose parents separate never see their dads. And losing contact with a father can be very problematic - especially for their daughters. Researchers have found that girls whose fathers abandon them when they are under 5 can get their periods much earlier than other girls. And as they get older, these girls can be more likely to face psychological problems and problems with their behaviour. Hannah Camille started her periods while she was still at primary school. She grew up without her dad - she's only met him twice.
