Iolo Williams discovers that the rare and secretive bittern are living right alongside man in a very urban landscape at Hendre Lake in Cardiff - a long way from their usual dense reed bed habitat.
Camouflage enables them to live in such a built up area and in this clip you'll see exactly why bitten are so hard to spot.
