Barnes and Hamilton say Hi Ya

We have some traditional jazz with Archie Semple playing swinging clarinet and Acker Bilk doing the same with a Scott Joplin rag. Count Basie plays the piano while Joe Turner sings the blues.

We look back to the early days of traditional jazz with Archie Semple playing swinging clarinet and Acker Bilk doing the same with a Scott Joplin rag.

Count Basie plays the piano while Joe Turner sings the blues and Kenny Burrell joins together with John Coltrane for a duo that’s hard to beat.

Wild Bill Davison, who visited the Midlands many times, plays with the Alex Welsh band and rocky tenor player Al Sears comes up with his own composition.

Maynard Ferguson hits some very high notes and plays with an octet of young talented players recorded in the mid-1950s. Alan Barnes and Scott Hamilton will be coming to the Midlands with the same line-up as their album Hi-Ya
