White identity in South Africa; Cameroon love and wave watching.

When journalist Kevin Bloom's cousin was murdered in Cape Town it started him on a journey to investigate the identity of white South Africans. He tells Matthew Bannister about his investigation and his book Ways of Staying (published by Portobello books).

Cameroon Love
When Barry Hanson went to Cameroon he fell in love with the country, and with a woman, Esther Ndankang, who was to become his wife. Esther died in 2006 but Barry keeps her memory alive through his paintings of her home village of Bafut. Outlook's Francis Ngwa Niba who is also from Bafut, went to meet Barry and see his paintings.

Wave watching
