Martin Fröst from the Wigmore Hall and a ±«Óătv Singers Anniversary

This week's ±«Óătv Singers centenary is marked with specially made recordings across the week, plus we have symphonies by Schubert and clarinettist Martin Fröst, live at the Wigmore.

This week sees the centenary of the ±«Óătv Singers which Tom McKinney marks with specially made recordings from this much loved group across the week. Today a chance to hear a major choral work from Judith Weir recorded at the Three Choirs Festival this year. Also this week, a cycle of symphonies, rich in contrast and lyricism, by Franz Schubert and a chance to catch up with complete performances given by the quarter finalists of the ±«Óătv Young Musician competition. But the programme begins live at the Wigmore Hall with a recital by clarinettist Martin Fröst and family and a programme of original work and arrangements for clarinet trio, stretching from Johann Sebastian Bach to Bela Bartok.
