Animal movie magic!

Animal movie magic in Tandragee, an amorous pig called Blanket has an eye for the ladies in Warwickshire and a burning question at an AD plant in Hillsborough.

Presenter, Nicola Weir, travels to Tandragee in County Armagh to speak to Kenny Gracey, who faced an uncertain future at his centuries old family farm but turned his fortunes around by specialising in television and film production. His rare animals, including Fred the crow, Ernie the tortoise, Pee Pee the goat, Solo the Emu and Midnight the Fox are in hot demand when it comes to the silver screen and are big names when it comes to Game of Thrones. Nicola also hears the latest update on Bluetongue from Dr Simon Doherty from Queen’s University and will large carnivores roam the countryside in the future? They could but farmers must be included in the debate according to Dr Jonny Hanson and Nicola will be talking to him about his latest research into the issue. Blanket the Pig has made headlines with his exploits on the farm – including fathering 70 piglets by breaking loose from his sty. And he’s on the move again, this time to a animal sanctuary in Warwickshire and, guess what, he already has a girlfriend! And finally, Countryside reporter, Hannah Quinn Mulligan, will be chatting to Chris Johnston from AFBI in Hillsborough about Northern Ireland’s oldest anaerobic digester.
