Classical, jazz and blues from Jools and guests

Jools is joined by comedian Rob Brydon, with music from Chopin, Missy Mazzoli, Count Basie and Charlie Parker.

In a new show for Saturday lunchtimes, Jools shares his lifelong passion for classical music, and the beautiful connections with jazz and blues. With fascinating guests each week, who bring their own favourite music and occasionally perform live in Jools's studio.

Today, Jools's choices include Missy Mazzoli's string quartet Death Valley Junction, the Concerto for Birds and Orchestra by Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara, and a track from Charlie Parker with strings. His guest is the comedian, actor and singer Rob Brydon who introduces piano music he loves by Chopin, Rachmaninov and Gershwin.
