Katie Derham is joined by flautist Lisa Friend and her Trio, playing live in the studio ahead of their appearance later this week at the Bradfield Festival in South Yorkshire.

Also, ahead of the UK general election, Katie continues a series of conversations with culture spokespeople from the main four political parties at Westminster, about their plans for the arts and music. Today she meets Lord Parkinson, the Conservatives’ Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Arts, Heritage and Libraries.

We also hear from musical organisations across the UK, telling us what they want from a new government: today, Tom Kiehl from UK Music and Vicky Williams from Sistema Scotland.
