Celebrating Scotland's classical world, Jamie MacDougall highlights the work of the ±«Óãtv Scottish Symphony Orchestra in concert and other Scottish artists and ensembles.
Jamie MacDougall shares a new release from the Chapel Choir of Glasgow University, there’s music from accordionist Paul Chamberlain and the Maxwell Quartet and an enduring favourite from the ±«Óãtv Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet ballet music. Also, more from the inaugural semi-finals of ±«Óãtv Radio Scotland’s Young Classical competition. We’ll hear from harpist Gina Gallacher, pianist Chiara Lordi and oboist Christopher Vettraino who play music by Quebec harpist and composer Caroline Lizotte, Rautavaara and French composer Gilles Silvestrini.
