Bearded Vultures/Cnàimh-bhristich

Restoring the corridor between the Pyrenees and the Alps, along with the native species including the largest and rarest of vultures.

In the south of France, a 700km gateway connects two large mountain ranges: the Pyrenees and the Alps. But the presence of man on this territory has led to the disappearance of species. Today, the corridor has been restored in order to reintroduce wild animals, including the largest and rarest of vultures.

Ann an ceann a deas na Frainge, tha slighe 700 cilemeatair a dh’fhaid a’ ceangal dà challaid bheann mòra: na Pyrenees agus na h-Alpan. Ach bho nochd daoine anns an ranntair seo, tha gnèithean air a bhith a’ dol à bith. An-diugh, tha an slighe air a bhith air ath-thogail gus na beathaichean fiadhaich seo a thoirt air ais dhan sgìre, nam measg, an fhang as motha agus as teirce.
