Strathpuffer 2024
Calum Maclean and Marie Meldrum meet some of the 700+ competitors preparing for the Strathpuffer, which takes place in Contin, just north west of Inverness.
From its beginnings in 2006, the Strathpuffer 24-hour mountain bike race at Contin, north west of Inverness, has become an international classic.
Calum Maclean and Marie Meldrum meet the 700+ competitors who are prepared to cycle through 17 hours of darkness around a 12.5km course, braving whatever the winter weather throws at them. Some racers are there to win, while others are there for the glory of taking part - but they all have amazing stories to tell.
