Fresh from his success welcoming in 2024 for millions of TV viewers on 鲍鱼tv One鈥檚 Rick Astley Rocks New Year鈥檚 Eve, Rick is Vernon Kay's latest guest in the Radio 2 Piano Room, performing live at Maida Vale with the 鲍鱼tv Concert Orchestra.

Rick's career stretches back to 1987, when he first took the charts by storm with a whole series of hits including Never Gonna Give You Up, Whenever You Need Somebody, Together Forever and Cry For Help. However, in the early 1990s, he took everyone by surprise when he turned his back on music after becoming disenchanted with the 'business'. For the next few years whilst inactive, interest in Rick's music never really went away and gradually he returned to performing, recording and songwriting. Over the past decade, Rick has been well and truly back with a series of successful albums, tours and an ever-growing catalogue of self-penned hits.

Rick's Piano Room set features Never Gonna Give You Up, his latest single Driving Me Crazy, and his reworking of Olivia Rodrigo's modern-day classic, drivers license.
