Bob Harris pays tribute to the musical genius and trailblazer, tragically taken from us on the Day The Music Died 65 years ago – February 3rd 1959.

We are going to hear from some famous voices talking about his influence and their favourite songs from his catalogue. We also have some brand new covers from our recent Piano Room performances by PP Arnold and The Libertines at Maida Vale.

We will be featuring Sir Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Hank Marvin, Joe Brown, Sir Tim Rice, Johnnie Walker, Paul Gambaccini, Roger Daltrey, Norman and Vi Petty, Keith Richards, Graham Nash, Tanita Tikaram, Nanci Griffith, Christopher Cross, Richard Ashcroft, Maureen Lipman, Art Garfunkel, Don McLean and Mick Fleetwood as well as archive clips from Buddy himself, the Crickets and Buddy’s wife María Elena.
