Episode 12 of 12

A thrill-seeker fears he’s led his fiancee to her death on an icy mountain, rescuers help a dog in distress, and a trainee paramedic is in the right place at the right time.

Eryri’s beautiful scenery has long attracted millions of visitors, and for many, the attraction is the challenging landscape. With 15 peaks which top 3,000 feet, a community of climbers and hikers regularly pit their skills against the terrain.

A stunning winter’s day lures an adventurous climber and his fiancee into the mountains to enjoy a spectacular panoramic snow-scene. But as the sun sets, the pair realise they’re lost and can’t get down safely. Surrounded by steep drops in icy conditions, the stranded couple call for help. As the temperature plummets in the total darkness, will the team be able to find them in time?

Mountain rescue teams rally to help with a more unusual SOS. When a local farmer’s sheepdog gets stuck on a crag, the volunteers are keen to help their neighbour out.

The teams must deal with a serious injury on the mountainside when a walker falls and cracks his pelvis. Luckily for him, trainee paramedic and mountain rescue volunteer Dan happens to be in the right place at the right time. He steps in to look after the injured man until the rest of the team arrive with a new piece of kit they think will get him down the mountain in the quickest and safest way possible.
