The perfect classical half hour
Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music.
Tonight's sequence opens with a Spanish dance by Boccherini, the Fandango from his quintet. It moves then to music by Dvorak and Glazunov, solo piano music by Rachmaninov and string chirps from Haydn's 'Bird' Quartet. Luscious sounds in Pachelbel's Magnificat are followed by solo Bach on the accordion, and a rousing end with a little dance by Malcolm Arnold.
