30 minutes of classical inspiration

Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, including music by Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn and Ockeghem.

Pianist Nikolai Lugansky opens this mixtape playing Rachmaninov, which is followed by one of Dvorak's Legends, and a beautifully hypnotic choral work attributed to Ockeghem. Mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital arranges Monti's Czardas, and Yo-Yo Ma plays a Song Without Words before the sequence ends with soulful solo viola da gamba playing from Friederike Heumann in Abel's Postlude. Producer Rebecca Bean.
