Meet Bekelech and her boys
Bekelech from southern Ethiopia knows what it is like to be hungry. Two years ago she couldnât grow enough food to feed her two boys. Then she met Ripple Effect who trained her in techniques such as climate-resilient vegetable varieties.
Learning farming skills for a climate crisis
Climate changes have hit southern Ethiopia hard, delayed rains prevent crops being planted and flooding washes away top soil. Ripple Effect works with the community to enable them to make sustainable compost to enrich their soil.
