 is a charity that improves the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music. Music can reduce the perception of pain. It brings back memories and helps create new ones. Live music can transform relationships between patients, families, healthcare professionals, residents and carers.
Meet Peter
Peter sustained a neck injury from a fall and was lucky to survive. Listening to live music brings back memories of his childhood, singing in the church choir; reliving the songs of his youth.
Creating connections
Music in Hospitals & Care selects professional musicians with a range of interpersonal skills to create lasting memories and connections. The live music experiences they create and share unlock all kinds of emotions, from joy to loss, pleasure to nostalgia.
Music can help heal
At some point in our lives, most of us will be a patient in a hospital or care home. Music in Hospitals & Care shares live music in places you wouldn’t normally experience it. Imagine how a visit from a musician would lift your spirits.
