Musical Instruments

Episode 24 of 26

Two teams take on three scientific challenges based on colours, personal hygiene and gravity. Sam and Ayo test out their sound wave monitor by making their own musical instruments.

Two teams touch down at the STARS space station to take on three scientific challenges to win out-of-this-world prizes. First, they must match a sequence of colours given to them by mixing primary colours to make secondary ones. Then, there’s a fast-paced game based on personal hygiene in which the young scientists must race against the clock to brush as much food as possible off giant teeth. Finally, the teams bounce around on trampolines to feel like astronauts experiencing low gravity on the moon. They must grab as many space objects hanging above them as they can before the time is up.

In the lab, Sam and Ayo have a new sound wave monitor to help them learn more about volume and pitch. They decide to test it out by making musical instruments from items around the lab.
