A Great Escape Festival Special

Steve has live music recorded last night at the 6 Music / ±«Óãtv Music Introducing night at the Great Escape - from Whitelands, Divorce, Vlure and The Goa Express.

Steve Lamacq has highlights from last night's 6 Music / ±«Óãtv Music Introducing showcase at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton.

Now in its 18th year, the Great Escape is THE festival in the UK for new music, showcasing 500 emerging artists from all over the world, in over 30 venues across the city, as well as a pop-up festival site on Brighton Beach. Last night, 4 artists played live for a showcase night curated by Steve, and we have tracks to play out from.

Whitelands - West London four-piece, supported by Jess Iszatt in ±«Óãtv introducing in London… you will have heard their current single ‘Setting Sun’ on the 6 Music playlist.

Divorce - Nottingham four-piece, supported by Dean Jackson in ±«Óãtv introducing in East Midlands.

Vlure - Glasgow punk band, supported by Phoebe I-H and Shereen Cutty in ±«Óãtv introducing in Scotland.

The Goa Express – Our headliners hailing from Burnley and Todmorden, supported by Emily Pilbeam in ±«Óãtv introducing in West Yorkshire.
