Bells on Sunday comes St Peter鈥檚 Church in Henley in Suffolk. The church is a grade one listed building, the main body of which dates from the 13th century. The tower houses a ring of eight bells by various founders, the oldest of which were cast by the Bury St Edmunds Foundry sometime in the late 15th century. The tenor bells weighs eight hundredweight and is tuned to the note of A flat. We hear the bells ringing Bristol Surprise Major by members of the Suffolk Guild of Bellringers who celebrate their 100th anniversary this year.
