PHONE IN
The UK government has rejected calls for a large scale trial of menopause leave for female workers. It also dismissed a recommendation to make menopause a protected characteristic under the Equality Act.
The suggestions came from the Women and Equalities Committee, which accused ministers of making "glacial progress" on menopause support.
But the UK Government, suggested that such an approach might not be the best solution to support women.
It also warns of unintentionally creating "discrimination risks towards men suffering from long-term medical conditions, or eroding existing protections".
Have you had to take time off work because of the menopause, how supportive is your workplace?

Kaye asks: Should menopause leave be available in the workplace?
