Remembering Pele, New Year’s Awards, Knitters and Life as an Asylum Seeker

Joining John on today's show, retired footballer Mike Dillon is in studio talking about his memories of Pele in the 1970s when they were both playing for New York Cosmos. Award winning author and naturalist Dara McAnulty on being awarded the BEM during the New Year’s Honours. Iranian musician Behnam Pour on his journey to Belfast as an asylum seeker – he’s also playing the Santoor Pauline Deazley from Crumlin will be knitting throughout the hour! She’s part of the Derry Square Knitters group who have been raising nearly £20,000 for charities helping refugees And Paula’s in the studio cooking Eight Treasure Rice to mark the Chinese New Year.
