Push the Boat Out International Poetry Festival; live music from Katie Gregson-MacLeod

We hear about Don't Stop Me Now, a new production by over 50's theatre group The Flames.

Michelle talks to performer Kate Sloan and Artistic Director of Tricky Hat Productions about directing new play Don’t Stop Me Now, a production performed by The Flames, a theatre group for people aged 50 and over who aim to challenge pre-conceptions about getting older ahead of their appearance at the CCA in Glasgow on Saturday.

Michelle is joined by Director of Push the Boat Out International Poetry Festival, Rapper, poet, and song-writer Dave Hook who performs as Solar Eye for hip-hop group Stanley Odd and Poet, Playwright and Director Hannah Lavery tell us all about the launch of this year’s Push the Boat Out programme, which begins on Friday and spans 54 events and over 80 performers at Edinburgh's Summerhall venue.

Michelle explores the world of social media platform TikTok and how it’s impacting the way we consume music with Inverness singer songwriter Katie Gregson-MacLeod whose own career took off thanks to the platform, and New York based Senior Media Reporter Dan Whateley. Katie also performs a live music session in our Edinburgh studio.

Michelle is joined by two of the talented new artists who have submitted their work to ±«Óãtv Upload - Ralph Hector of The Paperback Throne, and Colin Roxburgh, who both have their songs played live on ±«Óãtv Radio Scotland.
