In the present day the discovery of several bodies in a peat bog is connected to a calamitous event that sparked the destruction of an ancient religion in 2000BC. Two archaeologists try to unravel the mystery of the bodies preserved in the bog but a 21st century catastrophe looms as rising sea levels threaten to engulf the island.
