Damon Albarn, Gill Hicks and the Tuesday Review

Damon Albarn tells Janice about his Edinburgh International Festival shows, and she hears from 7/7 bombing survivor Gill HIcks, who has created a Fringe show about her experiences.

Janice speaks to Damon Albarn, frontman of Blur and Gorillaz, ahead of his solo show at the Edinburgh International Festival, where he’ll be previewing his second album The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows.

She also hears from Adelaide based performer Gill Hicks, whose online show Still Alive (and Kicking) tells the story of her survival of the 2005 London bombings, in which she lost both of her legs.

Plus there’s highlights from ±«Óãtv Scotland’s Upload at the Festival event.

And in the Tuesday Review, Michelle Mangan and Kelly Apter share their thoughts on:
Vigil, a new thriller set on a Trident submarine, starring Suranne Jones and Martin Compston
McCartney 3, 2, 1 - a documentary series in which Paul McCartney talks to producer Rick Rubin about The Beatles, Wings and his long solo career.
Kevin Can F Himself, a dark comedy starring Annie Murphy as the perfect sitcom wife who realises that her husband, in spite of being funny, is a loutish, unappealing man-child.
