Holidays Abroad; Dating and Vaccines; Hospitality Reopens

What happens if you have a holiday booked to an amber rated country and you don't want to go? Many customers can't cancel, even if they're unable to isolate at home on return.

From 17th May people in England can travel abroad under a new traffic light system. Countries rated green are approved for tourism, the government says you should not travel to amber countries for leisure. However this is guidance, not a legal requirement and some travel companies have chosen to offer holidays to amber destinations. On return from an amber country you are required to isolate at home for 10 days and take PCR tests on day 2 and day 8. We hear from customers with existing bookings for amber countries - they don't want to travel - but can't get a refund. We look at what your rights are if your holiday has not been cancelled.

Travel isn't the only thing opening up again - the hospitality sector will benefit from the easing of restrictions. We'll hear from pubs, cafes and other businesses around the UK as they get to grips with the new rules where they are.

The big dating apps are reporting an increase in users sharing their covid-19 vaccine status on their dating profile. We talk about whether vaccine status is important to single people right now, and look at how dating will change as restrictions ease. We'll be hearing from the Head of UK and Ireland at the dating app Bumble.
