The government plans to ban lead shot to protect nature.

The government is to ban the use of lead shot, in a bid to protect wildlife and nature. Plans announced this week will see a two year study by the Environment Agency and Health and Safety Executive to review the evidence and hold a public consultation. We hear from conservation biologist Professor Debbie Pain and Dr Conor O'Gorman from the British Association for Shooting and Conservation.
This week we're looking at what a year of lockdowns and disruption caused by the pandemic has meant for food, farming and rural areas. One change grows from the shift to working from home and more flexible working. That means people are free to move to the countryside. What impact does this have on rural areas, from house prices to services?
