Ahead of the government's announcement of its 'road-map' out of the third national lockdown in England, we'll discuss the latest data on consumer confidence. The indications are that while we're feeling more confident in spending than we were, the level still significantly down on the same time last year. We'll speak to Joe Staton from the market research company GFK about that, and get reaction from some of our listeners.

There were almost 700,000 funerals in the UK in 2020, and with covid restrictions in place for most of the year, many family and friends haven't been able to say a proper goodbye. According to the National Association of Funeral Directors at the start of the pandemic up to 50% of the families they spoke to, said they wanted to plan a larger memorial for a later date, but they say with no certain end to the restrictions in sight, this is happening less. We'll speak to two people who lost loved ones last year about their plans to celebrates their lives.

And all the mask wearing and hand washing and social distancing means there's been hardly any colds and flu this winter. The Royal College of GPs says the prevalence of flu in England is around 95 per cent lower than normal at this time of year. We'll look at what's happened to sales of all those cold and flu remedies we used to buy.
