As part of Sunday Morning’s marking of Black History Month, Connie is joined by winner of the prestigious TS Eliot Prize for poetry, Roger Robinson, as guest editor.

Through his work as a poet and musician, Roger believes art can translate trauma into something people can face. He explores this in more depth with poet and playwright Hannah Lavery, as they discuss how creative work can explore painful experiences and the power as well as the responsibility that comes with it.

Christianity is something that has influenced Roger in his work, but he now considers his faith to come from the communities he writes for. Connie explores this idea of faith in other areas of our life with Roger and singer-songwriter Beldina Odenyo Onassis, who performs under the name of Heir of the Cursed.

There are believed to be around 60,000 people in the UK living with what’s known as Long Covid, but that number is expected to rise as time goes on. So what do we know about Long Covid and what are the effects? Connie, GP Amy Small, and Ica Headlam, all share their experience of going through coronavirus and how it is continuing to impact on them.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is a chance for bereaved parents to commemorate their babies’ lives. Connie is joined by Ambassador for the Baby Loss charity Simba, Lisa Hague, and Psychologist Josh Cohen to navigate the debate around sharing such painful and intimate experiences online.

As the days are getting shorter and we face restrictions and uncertainty, does the escapism of event TV such as Strictly Come Dancing, have more importance for us all? Connie is joined by TV Critic and Broadcaster Scott Bryan.
