Toni Braxton celebrates the music and culture of black artists in the 90s.

On the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King鈥檚 iconic 鈥業 Have A Dream鈥� speech, which was made in Washington D.C on 28th August 1963, Toni Braxton curates Sounds of the 90s. She will celebrate the contribution that black artists made to the world of music and culture in the 1990s.

Toni Braxton is a Grammy Award winning R&B artist and actor who began her professional career singing alongside her sisters. She emerged as a solo artist with a song on the soundtrack for the film Boomerang starring Eddie Murphy (1992). Her debut album delivered hit singles You Mean the World to Me and Breathe Again, and she followed those with mega-hits Un-Break My Heart, You're Making Me High and He Wasn't Man Enough on her second album, Secrets (1996). Toni made history when she became the first black actress to play Belle in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast (1998), and later starred alongside her sisters on the reality show Braxton Family Values. Despite announcing her retirement in 2013, she resumed recording shortly afterwards and released Sex and Cigarettes in 2018 which produced hit single Long as I Live. Her 10th studio album, Spell My Name is out now.
