Maradona, Stan and Ollie and Apollo 11

Grant Stott enjoys his pick of interviews recorded out of the studio including Loudon Wainwright III and the cast of the award-winning stage show Matilda.

In the first hour Grant Stott looks back at interviews he has recorded outside of the Edinburgh studio including going backstage at the Edinburgh Playhouse with the cast of Matilda, chatting to American folk legend Loudon Wainwright III at Celtic Connections, attending the Edinburgh International Film Festival Gala launch and catching up with actor Ian Shaw at the ±«Óătv Edinburgh Festival Big Blue Tent to find out about his play “The Shark is Broken” based on his father Robert Shaw’s time filming a certain movie classic “Jaws”.

In the second hour he recalls his favourite conversations with screen directors including Todd Douglas Miller on the making of Apollo 11, Asif Kapardia on working with a footballing legend to create Maradona and Jon S Baird on the challenge of recreating comic icons Stan and Ollie.
