Lizzie is under the Headmaster's control, but Ethan Prendergast knows something is wrong and won't give up on her. They resist! Lizzie defies the Headmaster, but there is a cost.
After discovering the Headmaster's secret, hypnotised Lizzie becomes a martial arts star. Her energy and drive are channelled into the Hazelbrook Pioneers, where she is a squadron leader. The Pioneers are a select group of students undertaking outdoor activities, as they train to be the best they can be. Has the Headmaster got Lizzie? Not if Ethan Prendergast has anything to do with it!
Meanwhile, Ethan has noticed something strange happening at Hazelbrook Academy too. He is the football star, but he has no idea how - he has always hated playing football!
