This week, Irish legends Dervish talk about their 30th anniversary album and concerts. The band will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 ±«Óãtv Radio 2 Folk Awards on 16th October.

Cathy Jordan and Shane Mitchell recall their early days in County Sligo, and experiences from the Rock in Rio festival (billed between Iron Maiden and Sepultura), the Eurovision Song Contest, and performing alongside famous friends.

New album The Great Irish Songbook features guests including Imelda May, Kate Rusby and actor Brendan Gleeson (Calvary, the Harry Potter series, Paddington 2, In Bruges).

Dervish will perform at the upcoming Folk Awards in Manchester's Bridgewater Hall.
