It's film review day today and we’ll be discussing new releases Mrs Lowry & Son, starring Timothy Spall as artist L.S Lowry and Vanessa Redgrave as his mother, addiction drama A Million Little Pieces, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and The Souvenir, the new film from Joanna Hogg, based on her time as a film student in London in the 1980s.

Author of Apple Tree Yard Louise Doughty discusses Platform Seven, her new thriller.
We look ahead to the Outwith Festival, happening in Dunfermline next week, in the company of festival director Chris Foote and musician Fay Fife, who’ll also be playing live.
