Are agri-environment schemes which pay farmers to let hedges grow helping wildife? A new study by the University of Bristol and the Bat Conservation Trust says they are - they're helping rare bats, but they'd like farmers to trim hedges even less often.
Severn Trent Water is expanding a scheme which gives grants to farmers to help reduce water pollution. Last year they gave away more than a million pounds.
Farming fortnight starts today. It's a scheme to teach children about food and farming and is organised by LEAF - Linking Environment and Farming. The charity wants to tackle what they see as a disconnect between urban and rural life.
