Ahead of his live appearance at Bannerman’s in Edinburgh, Grant has live music and conversation with legendary New York Rocker, singer, songwriter, and musician, Willie Nile -the man The New York Times called “one of the most gifted singer-songwriters to emerge from the New York scene in years.” Bono, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Townshend, Lou Reed, Lucinda Williams, Jim Jarmusch, and Little Steven are among those who have sung his praises

One of Scottish theatre’s most iconic and influential productions returns to the stage in 2019, in a special revival from the National Theatre of Scotland. First staged by the 7:84 company in the 1970’s, John McGrath’s The Cheviot, The Stag, and the Black, Black Oil has become a cornerstone of contemporary Scottish theatre –it’s touring to Dundee, Inverness, Lerwick, Orkney, Ullapool, Dornie, Skye, Aberdeen, Perth, Stirling, and Newcastle and we’ll hear all about it

DAVID TSE, star of hit Channel 4 political thriller Chimerica (which available on DVD this week), discusses his role in the critically- acclaimed, fictional story about true events relating to the infamous TANK MAN OF TIANANMEN SQUARE, coinciding with the 30 year anniversary of the protest and ensuing massacre.

All that and Dr Pasquale Iannone will discuss programming The Italian Film Festival - Scotland’s annual celebration of the best in Italian cinema which returns for 2019 with an exciting, wide-ranging selection from the past twelve months. Featuring work from established auteurs such as Paolo Virzì and Mario Martone as well as emerging talents such as Laura Bispuri, Simone Catania and Laura Lucchetti, and special tributes to the artistic kinship of legendary Italian filmmakers Pier Paolo Pasolini and Bernardo Bertolucci
