Film review day, plus Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Patty Griffin

Film reviews include Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder in Destination Wedding, plus Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Patty Griffin stops by to talk to Grant.

Thursday is our film review day. Today we’ll be discussing Keanu Reeves and Winona Rider in Destination Wedding, animated adventure Pokemon Detective Pikachu- and Amazing Grace, the footage of a remarkable concert given in an LA church by Aretha Franklin in 1971, shot by Oscar Winning filmmaker Sydney Pollack, and never before seen- until now.

Grammy Award-winning singer- songwriter, Patty Griffin, whose songs have been covered by the Dixie Chicks, Emmylou Harris and many more, talks about her new album before heading to her gig in Edinburgh tonight.

Children’s author Theresa Breslin chats with Grant about a topic close to her heart: libraries. They’re joined by Peggy Hughes, Chair of Literature Alliance Scotland, to give us an overview of the health of Scotland’s literary scene.

As part of this year’s Get Creative Festival, there’s a new exhibition capturing 10 Edinburgh residents aged from under 10 to somebody in their 90s (and every decade in between) who take part in a creative activity. It’s called A Creative Century, and we’ll be talking to three of the participants.
