With Mother’s Day just around the corner - Writer Cheryl Gault & Photographer Linsey McDougall have come together to create a blog dedicated to motherhood. Based in Ireland, Máthair is the story of many mothers, a collection of ideas and experiences explored in art, literature, history and music.

Neil Lavery decided to go one step further when trying to fundraise for his son Luca’s football team to go on a football trip. Neil wrote and produced a track with 25 of the young St Malachy's team from North Belfast singing in the chorus. Neil will be in to perform the track live in the studio.

Paula McIntyre is making a Mother’s Day inspired afternoon tea, cake and prosecco all in one dessert – by baking a Lemon and Earl Grey Cake with a Lemon and Prosecco Syllabub.

Bernadette Hagans is a Belfast woman who lost a leg through cancer and subsequently went on to gain a new modelling career. Shortly after she had learnt to walk again with her prosthetic limb, she was signed up by a leading London agency.

Plus, Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhride - an Irish speaker and Sean-Nos singer has written the children's book ‘Polcaphonc’ to help school kids learn Irish, which is accompanied by a CD of 20 newly composed Irish songs with dance routine instructions. We’ll hear some of this music, when Doimnic plays live in studio with his accordion.
