Soilse, Nuala McKeever and Walter Simons

John meets Walter Simons in Dundrum, with the three siblings he rescued from the sea 50 years ago. Plus Paula McIntyre is at Borough Market in London showcasing NI Produce.

John meets 93-year-old author Walter Simons of ‘Dundrum Village Remembered’ – in his book he shared the story of how he saved the life of three siblings 50 years ago by stopping them being swept out to sea at Newcastle. Five decades later, those siblings of the McClean family express their thanks.

Dominic Motague and Paula McFetridge tell us about the exciting new production exploring the turbulent events of the first National Union of Students Lesbian and Gay Conference, held at Queens University Belfast in 1983.

Nuala McKeever shares her personal experience of living with loss and tells us about her upcoming show about dealing with the second half of life.
