The feasting’s almost over but the fun continues as Helen Mark and the team look back at their favourite Kintra moments since the series started in July: Sylvia Burnside gets ‘farthest flung’ award for teaching Ulster-Scots to Kenyan schoolgirls, Diana Culbertson’s first time efforts with the bagpipes had the rest of the team in stitches as did Jonnie Crawford’s attempts at ducking for apples. Rab Lennox has a bit of banter over whether ‘bag blawers’ are better than ‘drum baters’ (pipers or drummers!) and Willie Hill explores whether an Ulster Fry should include baked beans. In a more reflective mood, Rab remembers one of the conversations he had in a programme about the River Bush and Helen recalls the NW200 winner who’s kept his motorbike in the porch for decades. And if that isn’t enough entertainment for one programme, Sally Young joins the memories about Hogmanay’s past, Arlene Thompson has a fancy sausage roll wreath to contribute to the New Year party and there’s a poem from Willie Laverty.
