Michael Palin

Michael Palin takes Stig through an archive which charts a career of comedy rule-breaking, globetrotting and serious acting.

Michael Palin has just donated his archive to the British Library, and Stig joins him there to look through fifty year's worth of notes, letters, scripts and diaries - including an unpublished novel and drafts of some of the most famous comedy sketches broadcast on television.

Palin explains how a childhood telling stories in Sheffield, drove him to become one-sixth of Monty Python and an intrepid presenter of travel documentaries - renowned for both his writing and performing.
