In 2013 Katy escaped a communist cult in south London after 30 years in captivity. The story made headlines around the world. But what was most shocking is that Katy was born into the collective. it was all she had ever known. Five years on, Katy has written a memoir about her life, Caged Bird.

Only 33% of local councillors are women. We've been following 2 women who stood as local councillors for the first time in the local Elections last week. Kindy Sandhu stood as a Labour councillor in Earlsdon, Coventry.

On 9 May inclusive dance company Step Change Studios will present FUSION - the UK's first inclusive Latin and Ballroom dance-inspired showcase at Sadler's Wells Lilian Baylis Studio. Jane talks to the founder of the dance company and to one of the performers.
