1900s dancer Maud Allan, the first female professional jockey to win at Cheltenham Festival, the new drug to reduce hot flushes, teenagers in trouble, and abortion law in Germany.

The 2018 Cheltenham Festival is well underway and we will be speaking to Lizzie Kelly, who this week became the first female professional jockey to win at the meeting. Jenni talks to her about that winning race, preparation for what's next and the role of women in the sport.

A new class of experimental drugs reduces hot flushes in menopausal women by almost three-quarters in just three days. The treatment was tested by scientists at Imperial College London. The senior author of the research, Professor Waljit Dhillo, joins Jenni to talk about the findings and what it means for the future of treatment for women experiencing the menopause.

±«Óãtv Front on ±«Óãtv Radio 4 charts life in Britain during World War One. The drama series weaves together the actions of fictional characters with real life events. The latest season 'A Woman's Place', highlights the newly found freedoms of women in 1918 as well as the moral panic they inflamed. In one episode the dancer Maud Allan is discussed. Jenni talks to Lucy Bland, Professor of Social and Cultural History at Anglia Ruskin University about Maud Allan and her case the 'Cult of the Clitoris' which caused a sensation at the Old Bailey.

A campaign in Germany is pushing to change the laws around abortion, after a doctor was fined €6000 for providing potential patients with details about the procedure. Paragraph 219a, created in 1933, forbids the advertisement of abortion, including information published by doctors. Juliane Loeffler, from Buzzfeed Germany, joins Jenni to explain the current laws, and how they might change.
