Adam is outmanoeuvred, and Kate is at her wits end.

Kenton offers David his congratulations. But he isn't convinced that David's all that excited about becoming a grandfather. David tries to remain upbeat. The news was unexpected, but this is what Pip wants, and they're really happy for her. Kenton says a few words in defence of Toby. Yes, he can be flaky and unreliable, but he's not the waste of space David sees him as. David abruptly ends the conversation. He doesn't need a character reference from Kenton, who isn't much reliable himself.

At ±«Óãtv Farm Jennifer has made a decision about the agronomists. She's siding with Adam, and brushes off Brian's accusation that she's fallen for his flaky green propaganda.

Jennifer's worried about Kate. Noluthando still isn't talking to her, and Brian isn't being very supportive. Brian visits Kate; he sympathises with her about Noluthando's behaviour, agreeing with Kate when she puts the blame on Lucas. Then he raises the subject of the agronomists...

Later, Jennifer organises a family supper, hoping they can come to an agreement without forcing a vote. Jennifer has persuaded Ruth (as Ruairi's proxy) to join Adam's side, meaning that Brian, Kate and Debbie would be outvoted. That is until Alice reveals that she's on Brian's side. Brian smugly calls Adam a bad loser.
