Sir Samuel Kelly Lifeboat
The lifeboat which saved 33 passengers who had been on board the Princess Victoria ferry when it catastrophically sank in 1953 is to be restored. Anne Marie talks to Ken Walsh, Chairman of Donaghadee Preservation Company.Â
Garron Plateau
A new funded conservation project for Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland will improve habitats for birds and other species. Garron in County Antrim will see a blanket bog being restored as well as across the three countries. Anne Marie talks to Donnell Black from the RSPB about the project.Â
A Christmas Carol
There's a plaque in St Columb’s Cathedral in Derry that honours Captain Edward Harvey who was killed in WW1 in France. He was a flying instructor before he went to the front and when he was away he sent a book home to his mother and years later local historian Ken McCormack got a hold of it.Â
