With Bovine TB on the increase in Northern Ireland, the Chief Vet Robert Huey tells Sybil Ruscoe why they're changing their strategy to boost existing measures.

On the day of the Autumn Equinox, Farming Today marks the occasion with a poem by Jacob Polley (And a nod to Keats from Sybil), an interview with Dr Kate Lewthwaite from the Woodland Trust about the one or two unusual signs that the season isn't entirely behaving as it should, and Beatrice Fenton pays a visit to Thatcher's in Somerset to find out how this year's cider apple harvest is progressing.

The ±«Óãtv Food and Farming Awards may be over for another year but the lucky recipients of these coveted titles may feel the benefits for years to come. Toby Field went to Yeo Valley in Somerset to meet Mary Mead and her Son Tim who picked up the Farmer of the Year Award in 2008 to find out how it helped shape their business.
