Pip runs into Toby at Hollowtree, who needs to change for an important meeting. Pip notices changes to Toby's appearance; at Kitty's behest he has shaved his chest and shaped his eyebrows. But the relationship doesn't seem to be going well and Pip counsels him that life is too short for unhappy relationships. Later, Toby calls Pip to say he's taken her advice and dumped Kitty. Pip takes a picture of his eyebrows for posterity.

Jennifer joins Kate for a swim at Grey Gables. She's still recovering from overhearing Roy and Lexi in the caravan. Kate offers to inspect the caravans in her place. She gives Lexi the benefit of her own experience with Roy, but Lexi insists nothing happened. Jennifer joins them and Kate tries to hand back the inspection. Jennifer insists that she finishes the job.

Ian asks Jennifer about caring for Ruairi. Jennifer confesses it took a few months for them to bond, especially as he was a four-year-old grieving for his mother. But now they have a lovely relationship. Kate also enthuses about motherhood - she's sure Ian will be just as good a parent as she is. But her talk about the magic of bonding with her own baby leaves Ian feeling muddled.
