Michael Gove's 'vision', strawberry growing, Bovine TB, and alpaca walking tours

This edition looks at Michael Gove's plan for the future of British farming, hi-tech strawberry crops, England's TB strategy, and alpacas in Angus.

The Environment Secretary is expected to outline his 'vision' for the future of British farming today. It's anticipated that Michael Gove will reveal his plans for agricultural subsidies and call for a 'green' Brexit.

New ways of growing strawberries using less water have been developed by scientists in Kent. After 10 years, the team at East Malling Research have officially unveiled a high tech system which only irrigates the crop when the plants demand it.

The Government's strategy to tackle Bovine TB in England has been updated. The Badger Edge Vaccination Scheme is being re-introduced after previously being suspended due to a vaccine shortage.

Innovation is at the heart of rural tourism and one family in Scotland have turned to South American camelids to bring in the visitors. Louise and Graeme Nicoll have introduced alpaca walking tours on their farm near Forfar in Angus.
