Jill's blood boils, and Jolene shares her worries.

Ruth is impressed with Kirsty and Jill's volunteering at the Happy Friends pop-up café. It has to move out next week which makes Jill's blood boil. She thinks it is an important local issue to get behind. Later, Jill learns that a high end restaurant is taking over the Happy Friends' site. What's more it's going to be run by the Duxford sisters. Jill confronts Brian about his enthusiasm for the Duxfords' new restaurant. Brian is unapologetic.

Brian asks Ruth if she would consider being Ruairi's attorney. He admits he had other candidates in mind too but he thinks Ruth would be perfect with her wealth of farming and life experience.

Jolene tells Lilian about Fallon's fears about not being able to contribute as much as Harrison to their house fund. Lilian's sure it's because Jolene has instilled in her a sense of independence - which is definitely a good thing. Lilian mentions to Jolene that Matt didn't send her anything for her birthday. She tries to convince herself that she's not bothered. Later, Lilian opens the door at the Dower House to find a puppy on the doorstep with a note reading "Happy Birthday, Pusscat".
